Join the Kentucky for Kentucky crew along with an assortment of other Kentucky craftsmen and artisans for the ultimate night market experience. Confirmed so far for Friday night are Heck Yes Magnets, Art by Matthew Mcdole, Hound Dog Press and Home Skateshop, with more to come. In addition, there will be limited edition ReSurfaced letter press posters, shirts and ReSurfaced soccer jerseys! West Sixth Brewing will also be on site with free swag from 8-9 p.m.

Jack O'Lantern Spectacular | Iroquois Park

The Louisville Jack O’Lantern Spectacular includes over 5,000 professionally carved jack-o-lanterns in themed scenes and set to music along a nearly one-third-mile trail through the woods of Iroquois Park. Because carved pumpkins don’t last forever, the display completely changes every seven days. The event runs seven days a week from October 13 through November 6, 2016.

Speed Cinema Presents: Danny Says | Speed Art Museum

Since 1966, Danny Fields has played a pivotal role in music and culture of the late twentieth century working for the Doors, Lou Reed, Nico and Judy Collins and managing groundbreaking artists like the Stooges, MC5 and the Ramones. This engaging documentary follows Fields from Harvard Law School dropout, to Andy Warhol’s Factory, to Director of Publicity at Elektra Records and finally the pioneer of punk. Directed by Brendan Toller. Running time: 1 hour and 15 minutes.

An Evening with Poe | Frazier Museum

For more than a century, readers have been terrified, surprised and delighted by one of America’s greatest storytellers, Edgar Allan Poe. Accompanied by a selection of illuminated manuscripts, the Frazier Museum's live performers will bring some of Poe's best-known works to the stage, including “The Raven” and “The Masque of the Red Death,” along with live musical accompaniment by the Tamerlane Trio. The Mike Tracy Brazilian Ensemble CD Release | Clifton Center

Come out to the Clifton Center for the official release of Hora Certa (Right Time), the new recording by the Mike Tracy Brazilian Ensemble. Hora Certa features jazz-influenced Brazilian music composed and recorded in Brasilia, Brazil in 2015. The highly melodic material features the many rhythms of Brazil, such as Baião, Afoxé, Maracatu, Partido-Alto, Frevo and Forró as well as the Bossa Nova and Samba.

Storm Large | 21c Museum Hotel

Storm Large: musician, actor, playwright, author, awesome. International Snow Leopard Day | Louisville Zoo

Come out for a fun-filled day to celebrate the Zoo's animal ambassador, Kimti, for International Snow Leopard Day. There will be special games for younger zoo friends in the Kentucky Waters Classroom of the MetaZoo. Stop by at 11 a.m. to help us make an enrichment item for Kimti to enjoy before heading over to our snow leopard exhibit for keeper talks and snow leopard enrichment at 1:30 p.m. We will have fun activities set up all over the MetaZoo from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., along with docents or keepers outside our snow leopard exhibit  to answer all of your questions.
